Password warning banner

What I would like to do is have a banner message run when a user logs into one of my systems. I would like the banner to give the motd and let the user know how long they have until their password expires, but in a bigger than normal font. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My servers are set up to allow command-line logins only, so dthello isn't an option. Thanks anyway.

The file which you can use for setting the banner are /etc/motd , /etc/issue and /etc/default/telentd in case if telnet port is open.

though not sure as how we can display the info in bold

I suggest you look into /etc/DIR_COLORS , DIR_COLORS.256colo and DIR_COLORS.lightbgcolor
