Add new HD to system: Mandriva

Hi there all, *again* :P

well I have a problem.
I added a new HD in my system specially for my VMachines.
in the bios I see the HD come up (its an old IDE HD that is inserted as slave)
So I would think that I should see him as /dev/hdb
but I dont see him at all in fdisk or what so ever.
I do see him as he should be in the bios so there isnt any problem with the disk.

any advice on how I could get it to work?

Try using the GUI Local Disks manager (partitioning program) in the Mandriva Control centre
