Then only possible way I could think of is the edit error.

try deleting the entry and add the entry again Smilie

Since that is in production, I may not be able to do that now. But since all the crons are running fine, its cool.

One last real try then,

try implementing the entry in the crontab of dev/test env.

If no issues
then editing the entry should be the problem
else
we got to think again Smilie

Probably 2 years too late for this reply ...
but here it goes for some future ref for someone like us Smilie
one thing i noticed about ur crontab is u are putting 00m at the beginning of the lime whereas it should be after 55.

In Solaris you get this error from a blank line in crontab.
Post is 2 years old. Author must have removed the blank line by now. A "\n" at the end of the file is mentioned above ....

Ps. Minutes with a leading zero are valid in crontab.

i know this thread is old but........ how do you do that??

i did crontab -l > outfile

and also tried with the /tmp/crontabxxxxxx file in another window, but I never see the control characters.
