Setting TImezone fr Hong kong

Hi,
In solaris how to change the timezone to display to HKT

I tried by putting TZ=Hongkong or TZ=Asia/Hong_kong

but it is taking me to the display of CST.

how to change it to HKT

For a global setting you would need to edit /etc/default/init, but for a single shell:

bash-3.00$ date
Friday February 10 13:59:40 GMT 2006
bash-3.00$ export  TZ=Hongkong
bash-3.00$ date
Friday February 10 21:59:41 HKT 2006
bash-3.00$

Entering an invalid TZ will be silently ignored, and the system default value will be used for commands such as date.

Hi On several AIX 5.3 LPARs the timezone is currrently set to: TZ=NZST-12NZDT,M9.5.0/02:00,M4.1.0/03:00 Daylight savings in NZ starts on Sun 28th Sep 2008, which is the fourth Sunday.
