NAME
       skip_spaces - Removes leading whitespace from str.

SYNOPSIS
       char * skip_spaces(const char * str);

ARGUMENTS
       str
	   The string to be stripped.

DESCRIPTION
       Returns a pointer to the first non-whitespace character in str.
