calculating snmp hrSWRunPerfCPU
i'm writing a script on getting the cpu usage of processes. i dont understand hrswrunperfcpu?

when i go on the actual server on which the process i want to monitor exist, i can directly tell how much cpu the process is using.

how can i do this using snmp?

calculating hrSWRunPerfCPU seems to be the only way, but i have no idea how to calculate it. google isn't helping much.

can someone please help? thank you

You could define what you mean by hrSWRunPerfCPU. I thought it might be something specific to the system you were on, but if you want it for TWO systems...

calculating in MB

hi all, have got a ksh script which tries to monitor memory usage of app servers. i do a ps -0 rss -p <PID> to get the memory size in KB but when i divide by 1024 to convert to MB i dont know how to round it up ?? thanks in advance. (3 Replies)
