NAME
cupstestdsc - test conformance of postscript files SYNOPSIS
cupstestdsc [ -h ] filename.ps [ ... filenameN.ps ] cupstestdsc [ -h ] - DESCRIPTION
cupstestdsc tests the conformance of PostScript files to the Adobe PostScript Language Document Structuring Conventions Specification ver- sion 3.0. The results of testing and any other output are sent to the standard output. The second form of the command reads PostScript from the standard input. LIMITATIONS
cupstestdsc only validates the DSC comments in a PostScript file and does not attempt to validate the PostScript code itself. Developers must ensure that the PostScript they generate follows the rules defined by Adobe. Specifically, all pages must be independent of each other, code outside page descriptions may not affect the graphics state (current font, color, transform matrix, etc.), and device-specific commands such as setpagedevice should not be used. NAME
psbook - rearrange pages in PostScript file into signatures SYNOPSIS
psbook [ -q ] [ -ssignature ] [ infile [ outfile ] ] DESCRIPTION
Psbook rearranges pages from a PostScript document into ``signatures'' for printing books or booklets, creating a new PostScript file. The input PostScript file should follow the Adobe Document Structuring Conventions. The -s option selects the size of signature which will be used. The signature size is the number of sides which will be folded and bound together; the number given should be a multiple of four. The default is to use one signature for the whole file. Extra blank sides will be added if the file does not contain a multiple of four pages. Psbook normally prints the page numbers of the pages rearranged; the -q option suppresses this. AUTHOR
