lvsync(8) System Manager's Manual lvsync(8)NAME
lvsync - Synchronizes logical volume mirrors that are stale in one or more logical volume
SYNOPSIS
/usr/sbin/lvsync LogicalVolumePath ...
DESCRIPTION
This command is no longer supported on Tru64 UNIX systems. Features formerly provided by the Logical Volume Manager (LVM) are now provided
by the Logical Storage Manager (LSM). Existing LVM volumes must be migrated to LSM, using an encapsulation process. For information about
moving LVM volumes to LSM, see the vollvmencap(8) reference page and the manual Logical Storage Manager.
The lvsync command synchronizes the physical extents. The physical extents are mirrors of the original physical extent that are stale in
the logical volume(s) specified by the LogicalVolumePath parameter. The synchronization process can be time consuming, depending on the
hardware characteristics and the amount of data.
EXAMPLES
To synchronize the mirrors on logical volume lv05, enter: lvsync /dev/vg01/lv05
FILES
Specifies the command path.

vgsync - synchronize stale logical volume mirrors in LVM volume groups
SYNOPSIS
vg_name ...
Remarks
This command requires the installation of the optional HP MirrorDisk/UX software, which is not included in the standard HP-UX operating
system.
If the volume group input arguments belong to a combination of volume groups version 1.0 and 2.0 or higher, the arguments may not be pro-
cessed in the order they are listed on the command line.
DESCRIPTION

mirrors within a volume group are synchronized automatically when the volume group is activated by the command.

Hello. I have a test server that I'm messing around with, and just recently received an error on startup that a logical volume in the root volume group couldn't be re-synchronized. Server boots fine, as the root vg is mirrored, but I'd like to get rid of the error. Here are the details:

Hi,
Anyone know how to check the progress of the HACMP C-SPOC mirror for the vg ?
I know there is lsvg -l <appvg>, it show the open/stale .. but I couldn't see the progress of it.
Your feedback is very appreciated.

Hello,
I have an ancient HP-UX 11.11 system where I have a logical volume marked stale and I can't get it sync'd. I have tried lvsync and lvreduce/lvextend to no avail. It is just one 4Mb PE on the disk that I can't get current.
