DESCRIPTION
libgtksourceview-1.0 provides extensions to the GTK+ text control to support syntax highlighting and other features useful for source code
editors. libgtksourceview-1.0 makes use of language specification files in XML format to define how to highlight syntax for each language.
To access the API documentation, you must install the developer version of the package.

Apparently I do not have C on my Sun Blade. It's a fresh install, and I'l fairly new to using this box. When I type cc, I get the following:
/usr/ucb/cc: language optional software package not installed...
Does this mean I do not have C on this Blade? How can I get it and set it up?

I wrote a new .lang file for syntax highlighting a language I use frequently. It works fine, except that it doesn't glob onto the files automatically. Is there a utility I need to run to update a gtksourceview database?

I am looking for a tabbed text editor without a big library like gnome, kde, and gtk, I know about gedit, kate with extensions, geany, and bluefish. I would prefer it to be like gedit and be really light weight. So if anyone knows of a text editor that doesn't require those big libraries please let... (3 Replies)
