SYNOPSIS
gstreamer-properties [gnome-std-options]
DESCRIPTION
The GStreamer preference tool enables you to select the Default source and sink plugins for audio and visual media.
OPTIONS
The following options are supported:
gnome-std-options Standard options available for use with most GNOME applications. See gnome-std-options(5) for more information.
FILES
The following files are used by this application:
/usr/bin/gstreamer-properties Executable for gstreamer-properties

SYNOPSIS
gst-xmlinspect [---gst-inspect-plugin=string] [---gst-inspect-scheduler=string] [--version] [gst-std-options] [element | plugin]
DESCRIPTION
gst-xmlinspect prints information about available GStreamer plugins, information about a particular plugin, or information about a particu-
lar element.
If no element or plugin argument is specified, gst-xmlinspect prints a list of all plugins and elements. If an element or plugin argument
is specified, gst-xmlinspect prints information about that element or plug-in, as an XML document.
OPTIONS
The following options are supported by gst-xmlinspect:
-p, ---gst-inspect-plugin=string
Show plugin details.
-s, ---gst-inspect-scheduler=string
Show scheduler details.
--version
Print GStreamer version number.
gst-std-options
Standard options available for use with most GStreamer applications. See gst-std-options(5) for more information.

I do have a line in my code as follows:

What does the -z does ? Similarly there is -s in some other part of the code. I guess there are many options like this.. Can anybody please tell what all options are available and what do they mean ? (2 Replies)

I wrote a simple C code with gstreamer libs( gstreamer example code manual ref )
On my ubuntu linux, the gstreamer headers are inside /usr/include/gstreamer-0.10/gst
Inside my C code I wrote:

Am new to this scripting stuff so bear with me.
I got a script made now that reads in a properties file. The properties file is in the following format:
