C++ Removing = from char*
I have a char* str. Suppose

Code:
str="medium";

I want to check if str has "=" as first non blank position, if it exists, I want to remove it

Currently I am checking using

Code:
if (optarg[0] == '=') cout << "Found =" << endl;

If it's really just a char *, you can increment the pointer. The = will still be in memory but you'll be ignoring it.

Code:
char *str="=abcdefg";

if(str[0] == '=') str++;

printf("str is %s\n", str);
