Question Grepping nth line number

How do you grep every nth line number from a file?

Try the below, if my understanding of your probelm is correct:,

The below example will pull the 2nd line

Code:
awk 'NR==2{ print; }' filename

or
Code:
sed -n '2,2p'  filename

# 3  
Old 01-01-2009
solved. thank you. i'm using the sed command
