NAME
SMMAPD - Sendmail socket map daemon
SYNOPSIS
smmapd [ -C config-file ] [ -U uses ] [ -T timeout ]
[ -D ]
DESCRIPTION
SMMAPD is a Sendmail socket map daemon which is used to verify that a Cyrus mailbox exists, that it is postable and it is under quota. It
accepts commands on its standard input and responds on its standard output. It MUST be invoked by cyrmaster(8) with those descriptors
attached to a remote client connection.
SMMAPD reads its configuration options out of the imapd.conf(5) file unless specified otherwise by -C.
OPTIONS -C config-file
Read configuration options from config-file.
-U uses
The maximum number of times that the process should be used for new connections before shutting down. The default is 250.
-T timeout
The number of seconds that the process will wait for a new connection before shutting down. Note that a value of 0 (zero) will dis-
able the timeout. The default is 60.
-D Run external debugger specified in debug_command.

lmtpd - LMTP server process
SYNOPSIS

DESCRIPTION
Lmtpd is an LMTP server used to deliver mail to the IMAP mailstore. It accepts commands on its standard input and responds on its standard
output. It MUST be invoked by cyrmaster(8) with those descriptors attached to a remote client connection.
Lmtpd reads its configuration options out of the imapd.conf(5) file unless specified otherwise by -C.

I have an interesting situation. So bare with me and here goes:
I have a Windows XP box that connects to the internet through a Dial-Up connection. I have a SUSE 7.3 Linux box that is networked with the Windows Box and Linux uses Windows' Dial-up connection to access the internet. All is fine... (2 Replies)
I've been using Sendmail for several months - no problem. Shortly, a need appeared to provide remote access to mail - POP3/IMAP. I worked a little with Dovecot, and there was some success, than I read that Cyrus is cooler or so, like better for production sites because it makes links and not copies... (0 Replies)
I'm being forced to upgrade my Sendmail to version 8.14.2. We currently run what comes stock with the Solaris 10 build. I've been working on this for several days getting Sendmail installed and running again. Now it's telling me that I have to install Berkely database. I've never done this... (1 Reply)
Is there a way in AIX5.3 with Sendmail 8.13.4 to accept a sender address with an unresolvable domain? I've read about the option:
FEATURE(`accept_unresolvable_domains')
But can't seem to confirm if that option is available in this version of Sendmail.

Hello, our email server is HP-UX 11.31 and is running Sendmail and Cyrus-IMAP. We need to implement mail routing based on domain, for only a specific small group of domains. It sounds like /etc/mail/mailertable is the file where we put the routing information for each domain.

Dear All ,
I have some problem in Sendmail , where it was sending mails perfectly fine with the Ip address of the client machine.
But suddenly there was an issue , the SMTP takes the IP of the bond1 interface.
So the IP could not get validated in the relay server.
