String::Flogger(3pm) User Contributed Perl Documentation String::Flogger(3pm)NAME
String::Flogger - string munging for loggers
VERSION
version 1.101242
SYNOPSIS
use String::Flogger qw(flog);
my @inputs = (
'simple!',
[ 'slightly %s complex', 'more' ],
[ 'and inline some data: %s', { look => 'data!' } ],
[ 'and we can defer evaluation of %s if we want', sub { 'stuff' } ],
sub { 'while avoiding sprintfiness, if needed' },
);
say flog($_) for @inputs;
The above will output:
simple!
slightly more complex
and inline some data: {{{ "look": "data!" }}}
and we can defer evaluation of stuff if we want
while avoiding sprintfiness, if needed
METHODS
flog
This method is described in the synopsis.
format_string
$flogger->format_string($fmt, @input);
This method is used to take the formatted arguments for a format string (when "flog" is passed an arrayref) and turn it into a string. By
default, it just uses ""sprintf" in perlfunc".

Dist::Zilla::Role::TextTemplate - something that renders a Text::Template template string
VERSION
version 4.300020
DESCRIPTION
Plugins implementing TextTemplate may call their own "fill_in_string" method to render templates using Text::Template.
ATTRIBUTES
delim
This attribute (which can't easily be set!) is a two-element array reference returning the Text::Template delimiters to use. It defaults
to "{{" and "}}".
METHODS
fill_in_string
my $rendered = $plugin->fill_in_string($template, \%stash, \%arg);
This uses Text::Template to fill in the given template using the variables given in the %stash. The stash becomes the HASH argument to
Text::Template, so scalars must be scalar references rather than plain scalars.
%arg is dereferenced and passed in as extra arguments to Text::Template's "fill_in_string" routine.
