Perl::Critic::Utils::DataConversion - Utilities for converting from one type of data to another.
DESCRIPTION
Provides data conversion functions.
INTERFACE SUPPORT
This is considered to be a public module. Any changes to its interface will go through a deprecation cycle.
IMPORTABLE SUBS
"boolean_to_number( $value )"
Return 0 or 1 based upon the value of parameter in a boolean context.
"dor( $value, $default )"
Return either the value or the default based upon whether the value is defined or not.
"dor_n( $value0, $value1, ... )"
Returns the first defined value among its arguments. If none is defined, simply returns.
"defined_or_empty( $value )"
Return either the parameter or an empty string based upon whether the parameter is defined or not.

Valid values for the "-profile-strictness" in perlcritic option. Determines whether recoverable problems found in a profile file
appear as warnings, are fatal, or are ignored. $PROFILE_STRICTNESS_DEFAULT is set to $PROFILE_STRICTNESS_WARN. Importable via the
":profile_strictness" tag.
$PROFILE_COLOR_SEVERITY_HIGHEST_DEFAULT
Default for the -color-severity-highest option. Importable via the ":color_severity" tag.
$PROFILE_COLOR_SEVERITY_HIGH_DEFAULT
Default for the -color-severity-high option. Importable via the ":color_severity" tag.
$PROFILE_COLOR_SEVERITY_MEDIUM_DEFAULT
Default for the -color-severity-medium option. Importable via the ":color_severity" tag.

Below program, I do not get why item I am looking for is , instead of .
When I do $#text, i get the right value for $value1, but when I do , i get somsething4, instead of
somsethingxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx(which is what I am looking for.
when I do , I get empty.. why? what did I do wrong? can you... (2 Replies)
