Power Need the code of "apue.h"
Hi,

I am going though "Advanced programming in the Unix Environment", 2nd edition, by W.Richard Stevens and Stephen A.rago.

here we often use the header file "apue.h". the source of this header file is given in the appendix b of the book. however I don have that page in my book since its 2nd hand book.. can any one of you please mention the weblink, where I can copy this source code and put in my Linux m/c..
I searched the web, I got the links which shows the code uses "apue.h" but not its code..

how to open a gzipped ta archive
Hi ,
Thanks JIM.
I am having WIN XP in my sys and accessing a LINUX m/c using putty s/w.
As Jim said, I found the link and the code was achived in gzip.tar format.. Hw to open a gzip.tar format using windows?

Else if I save the gzip.tar to my desktop and later FTP it to the LINUX m/c I am accessing, how to ungzip there.. Please reply..

Most versions of winzip I believe should be able to extract these files.

On Unix, something like

Code:
gunzip -dc <apue.tar.gz | tar xvf -

You might want to create a temporary directory on the off chance that the files are not inside a directory in the archive.
