Question System performence.

I am using RHEL AS3. I want to improve the system performence. For that I have disabled the un-used virtual consoles [ alt+ctl F2 to alt+ctl F6 ] , And I increased the swap space., I disabled the unwanted services which are running background.

Can any one tel me other techniques to improve the system performance?

Help needed.

Increasing swap space does not help with performance very much.

Better to install more memory.

Swap was designed before memory was so cheap, like it is today.

Buy and install more memory.

That is OK Mr.Neo.

But is there any way , where I can increse the performance?

Buying more memory increases performance.

You need to be much more specific when you ask questions, thanks.

You need to state the details of your hardware and software.
