qmail-newmrh(8) System Manager's Manual qmail-newmrh(8)NAME
qmail-newmrh - prepare morercpthosts for qmail-smtpd
qmail-newmrh reads the instructions in /var/lib/qmail/control/morercpthosts and writes them into /var/lib/qmail/control/morercpthosts.cdb
in a binary format suited for quick access by qmail-smtpd.
If there is a problem with control/morercpthosts, qmail-newmrh complains and leaves control/morercpthosts.cdb alone.
qmail-newmrh ensures that control/morercpthosts.cdb is updated atomically, so qmail-smtpd never has to wait for qmail-newmrh to finish.
However, qmail-newmrh makes no attempt to protect against two simultaneous updates of control/morercpthosts.cdb.
The binary control/morercpthosts.cdb format is portable across machines.

qmail-control - qmail configuration files
You can change the behavior of the qmail system by modifying qmail's control files in /var/lib/qmail/control.
qmail can survive with just one control file, me, containing the fully-qualified name of the current host. This file is used as the
default for other hostname-related control files.
Comments are allowed in badmailfrom, locals, percenthack, qmqpservers, rcpthosts, smtproutes, and virtualdomains. Trailing spaces and tabs
are allowed in any control file.
The following table lists all control files other than me. See the corresponding man pages for further details.
