First make a referencefile with a timestamp of october 2nd 2008
Quote:
$ touch -t 0810020000 referencefile
Then search for files/directory which are newer than the referencefile
Quote:
$ find . -newer referencefile
Use '-anewer' for accesstime comparizon
Use '-cnewer' for "properties" comparizon (changed owner, permissions, ...)
Use '-newer' for modificationtime comparizon.
There is no such thing as 'creation time'. When a file is created, the modificationtime is the creationtime. When the file is altered, you cannot see the creationtime anymore.
