how to configure nfs with in the same machine
Hi All,

I installed the Linux on VMWare. Now i want to configure the NFS.

is that possible to configure NFS ? because i am having only one Machine.

Please give me the details ASAP.

You can configure NFS, but why you want to use it on local host ?

I dont know how to configure NFS at all. I want to practice it.

How are you going to test it?

The things you typically need are

NFS enabled in the kernel
RPC port mapper/rpcbind
nfsd daemon
mountd daemon

then share the various mountpoints you want to export
