ssh package for IRIX 5.3 Operating System....???

Hi Friends,

I would like to install ssh on IRIX 5.3 OS. Can someone help me out for finding the free ssh (Open ssh) package for IRIX 5.3 operating system & also the installation + configuration procedure.

Thanks for the reply sysgate. But both the options are for Irix 6.x versions. I am runing with IRIX 5.3 version & would like to install & configure ssh on the same version. Can you help me out for this...???

Can someone clear me that is it possible to install & configure ssh on Irix 5.3 OS....??? If yes, please help me out with location of the package & the steps to be followed for installation & configuration of the same.

Note : Most of the sites shows the ssh installation details on Irix 6.5

hello,

i think you should search whether your ssh package itself supporting your version of IRIX - not vice versa.

and have you successfully install ssh package on 6.3 IRIX?
because if you did - i think you have found your answer how-to install it.

I have never installed ssh on Irix 6.5 OS. Just want to know that how can I go ahead for configuring ssh (openssh) on my Irix 5.3 OS machine. Openssh page shows that it supports Irix, but version of the OS is not mentioned anywhere.

Can someone clear me that is it possible to install & configure openssh on Irix 5.3 or not...???

If yes, please let me where can I find the openssh software for Irix 5.3 OS & the installation + configuration procedure.

If no, do I need to upgrade the Irix OS version from 5.3 to 6.5 for configuring openssh...???
