Data Problem with SQUID
hi all...
i installed Red Hat 9...but i can use a proxy server with service squid...
in my job i have a direct internet connection in the linux, but i configurate squid.conf...ports...ip's....
but still not working...with the windows machines....
in the linux server if i put the 127.0.0.0 port 3128...i can access on the web...but not in the windows client's....why???
Please help me....

? - This doesn't sound much like a Linux issue. Sounds like you're name server/proxy isn't resolving to your client machines. Make sure that you have the windows machines set to use the Linux box as a proxy and that the web cache on the proxy is building as your windows clients/linux box are accessing web sites.

As for that Loopback IP thing... thats really strange. You can access the internet is the linux box proxies to itself???
