Yes I have successfully installed the virtual machine (screen shot named Guest_Linux_installed). When I started it, I got what the screen shot shows (name of screen shot: Guest_Linux_run).
That means I need to install Linux once again on this Virtual Machine. That means, it can't access the Linux OS that is already installed.
OK, I proceed ahead with installing OS.

Problem occured while installing Linux on the virtual machine . Please see the screenshot named "Linux2" showing the error.
Also, just for your reference attaching the 2 other files.
Please suggest what next to be done.

It's telling you what's wrong -- you're trying to install a 64-bit operating system in a 32-bit virtual machine. Try installing a 32-bit operating system.

Well Corona, the same Linux OS when I installed directly in my laptop, it installed properly.
Now, the virtual machine is not accepting it!! O.K. I got it. Thanks.

Now, as per your post, please provide link to download a 32-bit Linux OS

Which is preferred OS to download. Fedora, ubuntu, suse, etc.

Corona, I downloaded 32-bit & tried to install it in the virtual machine. It's Fedora 16 (size=605 MB, the name of the file I downloaded is : Fedora-16-i686-Live-Desktop.iso). But I got an error that "an error has occured. please log off and try again". Please see screen shot named error_load. I clicked "log off" and it seemed that some operation was going on. I thought the OS is getting installed but the screen didn't show any sign to confirm that OS is getting installed. I didn't do anything and then after more than an hour later got a message "GNOME failed to start properly....". Please see the screen shot named Guest-Linux.
Then after waiting for quite a long time, not sure what to do, I went to my virtual machine. Changed the boot order to hard disk 1st and clicked start. But couldn't get my Linux.
I am also attaching 2 more files which may not be necessary but you can have a look.
How to proceed ahead please?
