It sounds like you have a workaround you don't like. I don't have any really constructive answers where you are right now. If you have a pre-installed Tux + kernel, there is not much you can do.

Otherwise:
There was an update to TUX in late 2011. You might want to try to update your system with the newest version. It has lots of bug fixes. Consider reviewing what the update offers, carefully, then decide if it might be worth the effort.

I do not know how to update the kernel-embedded version, the add-on version comes as a package. Updates here:

TuxOnIce 3.2 | TuxOnIce.net

I have a workaround which I cannot use for entirely different reason. Liking does not come into it.

Thanks for the pointed on tux update. I will talk to kernel developer, but I doubt he has not implemented it yet, as the kernel us being updated like once a week.

Pausing and resuming process on laptop

Hi, I'm wondering if it's possible to pause a process I'm running in the background, close my laptop (I need to leave the office), and continue the process (when I get home). I've been running a process for a really long time and I don't want to have to start it over. Thanks in advance! (9 Replies)
