image process under linux

i am going to work on image process under linux ... can someone give me some advices?

Image Process? Do you mean Graphic Images? And not ISO or Disk Images?

For Graphic Images, there is ofcourse, The Gimp, which is a very powerful editing suite. Image Magick is a great tool also, for image conversions, can be run on the commandline or via a UI.

I use jpegoptim called from a script, to do jpeg compression and stripping EXIF data from images.

If you want a good program for doing some photo management, there is a couple decent tools for this, such as Danpei, GQview, PixiePlus.

Corel has a GNU/Linux graphic suite, I've downloaded it, but never installed it to test it.
