I was just woundering, is mandrake compatible with AMD Athlon processors? I think I have AMD Athlon 2400 XP

I went on google for 10 seconds and found that mandrake has a hardware compatibility database that can be queried.

I have another question, can I install Mandrake from the hard drive? and how do I do it? I've been searching google and altavista for it for a few hours, but I just cant find it.

I need to install it from the hard drive becos I am a bit low on CD's and money at the moment.

can anyone herlp me whit that?

im not exactly sure what you want to do here...are you saying you would rather download the images to your harddrive, over burning them to cd?

you can do this. i dont know what program exactly, but im sure there is some program that can be run at boot time, which will allow you to select what iso you want to "run"

that would probably have to be put on a floppy (if its small enough), or burned to cd and run at boot time.
