Java Ubuntu to Fedora/OpenSolaris

I have installed Ubuntu and i am planning to install Fedora or opensolaris.
Please let me know whether the drivers will be pre-installed or manually installed. If manually installation of drivers are required, where will i get the drivers. Currently i have Lenovo laptop with Windows Vista and Ubuntu installed.

First of all is ask you why are you planning to install two linux distros on the same box, don't misunderstand me Fedora is a great distro but IMHO it would be me better if you are planing to learn to install OpenSolaris.

Regarding the drivers, if Ubuntu is working fine and you choose to install Fedora it would work without any issue.

About OpenSolais you'll have to check the OpenSolaris HCL and look for your laptop to check if it's supported.

Fedora is Linux like Ubuntu so any hardware supported by Ubuntu will be supported by Fedora as well. Another issue are the proprietary drivers, like Nvidia or ATI, they will work on both but in Fedora they will require more work than in Ubuntu since the last has a nice GUI that prompts you after installation with the available proprietary drivers for your hardware.

For OpenSolaris like I said in my previous post the best way is to look into the HCL to check if your hardware is supported.
