Remote Printing - UNIX to XP Client

In the past three weeks I've had two of our printers stop printing reports generated in UNIX. The printers are set up on an xp client machine and shared. The first printer I switched to a different computer and the print jobs came through. The most recent printer won't be as simple. Also I would like to figure out the problem since this is the second time this has happend.
The printer will print a test page and UNIX reports are printing to other printers in our office. I believe something in the client computer is blocking the request's (maybe the windows firewall) but why would this just start happening from one day to the next?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I know some new Windows service packs have been rolling out. Could have updated something in the firewall.
