Hi Guys
I have a Solaris 10 server running Oracle database most of the sessions are slow when forking resource/processes on the O/S.
How can I resolve this issue or how do I see the time it takes to fork a process from the O/S?

Solaris terminal responding very slow .. we have recently put a T3 hardware in to production , the applications running are it are perfectly and no complaints from user ..but when i ssh to the server ... the terminal response is very very slow .. it takes 3 seconds to show the character i type ..... Earlier today, just all of a sudden, all SSH and FTP connections to my internal Linux box just slowed down to a crawl. After the connection/authentication though, everything was back to normal speed. Until you have to connect again. A box reboot didnt work either.

But Samba is supported.
How do i connect to it through solaris 9. What are the steps required.

I have a samba server and a raid SAN which is actually running samba. Neither one lets me access anything on the samba unix side. I really do not know where to look anymore. there are no errors. When I try to connect to the samba server I get prompted with login and password repeatedly.

Hi all,
Solaris is working very slow as login to solaris takes time say after 10 to 15 mins we get the login prompt back after logging in as oracle account/other account.
This causes most Batch run delays(DWHouse jobs) scheduled through cronjobs.
