Make unixSCO online

Hi,
Our office have logistic program that run on SCO OpenServer Release 5, it already configured with local ip
as for now we want to make that server online, and can be access using telnet securely from outside office,
(do we needpublic ip address?)and isit possible to use VPN ?
How to configure it?

Need advice... thx
