Problems to transmite a file to a remote server

Good morning, i need your help, our external providerrs emailed me that an specified filed called DCOxxx is misdsibg 2 days ago and every day this file is transmitted to ther remote machine.

the information they provided is i.

VPN: 10.80.x.z
their remote server: 192.162.w.x

our server (local server) 10.80.d.f

i dont know where to start, how to trace it ?

i use ping -a but this command is not recognize (ping not found), the OS is HP-UX machine

sorry, i appreciate your help for giving me a shed light how to figure it out.
in new at Unix Networking but id like to know what kind of test i can do and what is up to me to do before scaling to specialized area who is our system administrator ?

Try ssh username@10.80.x.z and see if it lets you login. You would appear to already be on the VPN.
