Connecting via SSH with dynamic IP
My VPN setup requires me to allow users via IP in the firewall, before they can access the VPN via SSH.

The problem is that my home IP is dynamic, and I have to re-add it every time I reconnect.

Any ideas?

You could write a scriipt to update the firewall rules to match your current dynamic IP? Of course, that's assuming you have some control over the firewall. Might be difficult (for example) to do on an "appliance firewall". YMMV.

If I am not wrong, VPN requires the following criteria

1.Cert keys on your PC
2.Cert keys on your authenticating server.

VPN allows users to connect to private n/w from almost any location.So dynamic Ip should not create a problem.

Something needs to be changed under your scenario as only IT has permissions to make changes in the firewall.
