HI I have made a connection with external server which is also UNIX. I was tryign connectivity with this by telnet which fails and ping i sshowing socket is alive and traceroute tells the asterisk astersik:traceroute to 153.88.182.28 (153.88.182.28), 30 hops max, 8080 byte packets

Now I want to check if conectivity at my end is open or it is soem fault or firewall issue on other side.

Can you actually connect to the remote box using ssh or whatever? Can you go to the console and login? What OS (local & remote)

There are so many things that could cause problems like this that we'll have to step through looking at it.
