I've been searching the internet for a while, but maybe i was asking the wrong questions. so i am trying it here now Smilie

(1) does HP-UX run on an AMD64 System?
if so:
(2) where can i get an evaluation copy or something like that?
if not:
(3) which would be the cheapest hardware to get a system running?

To my knowledge, HPUX runs only on PA-RISC and Intel-Itanium

Yes, HPUX runs only on HP provided architecture PA-RISC and Integrity servers (IA)..

You can get a cheap workstation off ebay, look for a C3000, J6000 or something along those lines.

There is no such thing as a evaluation copy of HPUX. Sorry Smilie
