Users problems
Hi everybody!

We have created a user, like another one that works well. But this "bad" user cannot loggin into an application that is running on informix bbdd.

When the user try to loggin, it appears an error message: "killed" and logout.

Do you know what can we do? where can we find the error? We looked the /etc/passwd file, comparing the bad user with the "good" user, but -except the user name and the ID, the other fields are similar.

I would start by checking environment variables and compare between a good user and a bad user.

Especially, PATH, SHLIB_PATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH

Thx Porter for your help!

We checked the environmet variables and they were ok. We found the problem, but it wasn't a HPUX issue (as we suppoused) but a problem with the informix and multibase catalogues. When we update this DB catalogues, the user could loggon normally.
