to edit .class file
Hi,
i am working on the HP-UX system and i have a class file while deals with the label printing. The issue is i am new to HP-UX and i dont know how to view it in a proper readable format and edit then edit it.
I tried vi editor which is the only editor i know but no success.
Can anyone kindly guide me ?

It sounds like a compiled java class file. You don't look at it, it's compiled byte code.

If you want to see what it does or make changes you need the source code which should have the same name except ending with .java.

Else you would have to decompile the .class file and you would then have no comments.

I have searched but failed to get the .java file of that name.
can you tell me the other way i.e to decompile it in the reverse order or any other way to get my issue solved.

Do a google of "java decompiler".
