Hi,

I can't see anything obviously wrong in that.

Can you retrieve the MTU setting for all boxes?

(Which version of HP-UX are you using? I don't think you've said.)

When you use the showmount command you are implicitly stating that you use NFSv3, so just to clarify: you do use NFSv3, yes?

For the outside chance you don't: you need to have the "NFS domain" on server and client set to the same value. You do that in /etc/idmapd.conf. My suggestion is to use the same value as for the DNS domain, but it can have any value in fact.

Also check if the non-working systems have the right (=corresponding) services started, because NFSv3 and NFSv4 use completely different daemons.

Is port 111 (rpcbind) defined in /etc/services on intabck for both udp and tcp?
Is a firewall running on the NFS server that restricts port 111 to certain IP addresses?
