Patch Management

HI all,

As per the audit policy, patch has to be apply periodically, but in my scenerio, it has been applied lastly in the year 2010.

Using HP UX 11.11, 11.21 and 11.31

I would like to know, how to identify the patches which are need to update, what will be the procedure to update, how to get the update..

U all are my hope now...

The easiest is to see with your HP support: I am not up to date on how your proceed now HP changed things.... I am of course talking of how to bind a support contract with a user account(and where you do create a new user today?).
Once that is done, come back here if you need more on how/what to download patches.

If you have HPSIM product, check out the SWA :

https://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/sw...Number=B6834AA

It is a software assistant tool which will (ran against host from HPSIM) determine the current patchset, check on HP site for never patches (this will require HP account) and make a report what is out, and what are you missing with appropriate links to download Smilie

This tool has saved me hours.

Hope that helps a bit

Regards
Peasant.
