hpux 11.31 vgimport fail
i'm trying to vgimport the map file from vgexport -p -v -s -m to fail over node (adoptive node in service guard).

root@noe04:/etc/cmcluster/icasprd$ vgimport -s -m gicasprd.110810.map /dev/vgicasprd
vgimport: Volume group "/dev/vgicasprd" already exists in the "/etc/lvmtab" file.

the /etc/lvmtab file has already vgicasprd volume group and all disks associated with. How can i proceed. Is it possible to remove the vgicasprd in /etc/lvmtab file and all disks associated before then try to redo vgimport?

use vgexport...

You have exported in preview mode and trying to import it actually.

vgexport -p -v -s -m

Unless its exported, it does not go from lvmtab. If that's not done, no imports. Your VG is already imported.

Need Script to Use CPUs on a HPUX server to simulate Workload Manager on HPUX.
