iPhone Not being detected

I'm New to the linux world I'm running OpenSuse and as soon as I installed everything was wokring like a charm. and i said to myself I'm so keeping this OpSys! everytime i would plug in my iPhone it would read it as anything else as a filesystem and i was able to go through the device files an etc, i never had to install iTunes( not that i ever wanted) but i started playing with the scripting a little bit and Im not sure what i did but now i wont mount it every time i plug it in it gives me the error, error mounting device can anyone please help me. keep in mind I'm the rookiest on *nix

Could you explain the error in more detail?

Could you explain what you were messing around with when you made it stop working?

Well, if you had installed iTunes (dreadful as it can be) it would have backed up your phone, and you'd be able to restore it. Unless, of course, you've Jailbroken it, in which case you deserve what you get Smilie

A key philosophy behind Apple mobile devices is that users don't have to worry, care, or think about filesystems. This is exactly why! Anyhoo...

Is your best bet not just to copy what you can from it, do a factory reset, and start over?

mmmm I'm Not sure if i explained myself right :P maybe i didn't XD well no my iPhone is not jailbroken, neither i have issues with the phone itself ..thankfully ^^ the whole error comes from OpenSuse when i plug it the iPhone it doesnt detect it anymore, i think i was kinda playing with the mount/unmount commands on the gnome terminal :O

The very first google hit for that error suggests upgrading one of your libraries.
