Do Floppy disks require drivers. I forgot, and one of my customers wants to know.Smilie Smilie Smilie Smilie

Of course they require drivers. The hardware needs to interact with the OS somehow!

Whether or not those drivers are included with the OS probably depends on the OS itself.

floppy drives are pretty much plug and play with all modern (and not so modern) operating systems.

with linux, and windows (though drivers are usually supplied by the manufacturer) you dont need drivers for the drive, the OS will detect it and set it up it self.
