Filesystems, Disks and Memory

Hi all,
Have two legacy DEC 3000 Model 800/800S AXP boxes and woud apart from learning how to set them up properly, I'd like to also increase the amount of RAM on both (or at least one) of the servers.

Currently I've moved all the RAM from the second box into the primary box which now holds a total of 256Mb of memory.

I've tried to find memory for these boxes and have hit many brick walls - any suggestions.

http://www.4allmemory.com/index.cfm?...&model_id=1835 for the 800 AXP, but have a look at the price. $1,039.92. Hmmm.....

Anyway, never used them, so don't know how good their service is.

$1039 is expensive, but then it's not your standard memory module either - different configuration and design to that of DDR.

Shame it's so expensive; I'd have wanted to buy four lots of 256MB (to go 1G). But after seeing the cost, I'd rather spend that type of money on my wife and 8-week old baby daughter.

That is unless there is a generous sponsor out there reading this.
