hd space for suse

how much space should i put into suse's partition if i just like wanna use it for normal purposes? will 5gb be enuf?

Give you some practical statistics of mine ...

my Suse partition (including /home /var /usr) is 20GB and the free space is 7.8GB.

I installed a lot of things. Depending on your need 10GB may be enough for you.
5GB seems to be too small if you take into account future expansion. Should be adequate for a default installation though.

According to SuSE documentation, 8 GB is enough to install all the software packages.

I'd recommend at least 10 gigs.
