CUPS Cannot recognize lp0

I am trying to print from Debian and receive the following message: "Unable to open device file"/dev/lp0": Permission Denied"

The permissions for lp0 are 666.

Advice and comments, please.

askPrinter [dev-path-to-printer] DESCRIPTION
This manual page documents briefly the askPrinter command. This manual page was written for the Debian GNU/Linux distribution because the original program does not have a manual page. askPrinter is a helper program to help you configure Mtink. OPTIONS
