Fed up of Viruses

I am fed up of getting viruses on my computer.
They come from other computers on the network and I'm fed up with them.
Can anyone reccomend some virus scanning software or something that I can use to prevent my machine from getting viruses?
Thanks

Unix machines do not tend to be affected by viruses the way other operating systems do. I believe F-Prot makes a virus-scanner for Linux, but that is generally intended to scan SAMBA shares and the like, as there are few (if any) linux virus signatures that it could detect.

It isn't a very dangerous virus, just more of a slight fault but thanks anyway
