How do i use tail & grep in real time here??

Hi I have a file which is updated very frequently. Where in i wanted to use tail -f command in the script and wanted to grep for a particular word. Response time under packet loss

I am experiencing a problem where under a dial condition I am experiencing packet loss, which is failrly normal, but the response to the packet loss is taking bewteen 6 and 10 seconds. Could someone please advise what the industry standard is on the response time under a packet loss senario. (1 Reply)

This provides a simple numeric attribute, which supports most of the basic math operations. METHODS

It is important to note that all those methods do in place modification of the value stored in the attribute. set ($value) Alternate way to set the value. add ($value) Adds the current value of the attribute to $value. sub ($value) Subtracts the current value of the attribute to $value. mul ($value) Multiplies the current value of the attribute to $value. div ($value) Divides the current value of the attribute to $value. mod ($value) Modulus the current value of the attribute to $value. abs Sets the current value of the attribute to its absolute value.
