Where to find Linux functions coresponding to the Solaris DDI/DDK?

Hi Gollum,

I'm pretty new to this forum and I'm a bit afraid of asking questions in the other forums, so I decided to ask you some things, I hope you could help me out.

Here's my problem - Right now I'm trying to port a Solaris device driver for a custom piece of hardware to Linux, and I'm having some troubles finding the proper corresponding functions to the Solaris DDI on Linux, I hope you understand what I'm refering to, and also will come up with some sort of solution, or at least advice.

Thank you in advance for your effort.

What do you think about the Solaris Device Driver Interface compared to the one available on Linux? Do you know of some decent comparison of them?
