Becoming a SysAdmin

Hi,

I am Wesley and new to the site. I am a graduate in CIS and I wish to specialize myself in Unix Sys Admin. Could anyone please let me know what to do. Do I have to set up a Unix/Linux server, or apache server; how about Red Hot Linux?

Thanks
