Totally messed up

I have moved the etc/passwd file and we are now unable to get in to Unix - any suggestions?

1. do not move any file in /etc, ever.

boot into single user mode if you can. Here is how to do it:
pSeries and AIX Information Center
copy /etc/passwd back to where it belongs, set protections correctly on it.

AIX doesn't use runlevel the way other UNIX systems do.

Need hyperterminal settings

We do not have a console, we need the hyperterminal settings can anyone help

massive tarred grib files totally unacceptable

Hi, I have 7 terabytes of tar files, one for every single day since 1980. Inside these tar files are GRIB files, each with 100+ variables. I think I have messed up with crontab

Hi Guy, In my system there were some cronjob were already scheduled. and somehow I want to enter one new cronjob with crontab. So I isssue crontab temp.txt. it scheduled that job but now it's showing me only this job with crontab -l. but I can not see the old cronjob list that already set up.... (2 Replies)
