Relay to Exchange Server

AIX 5.3
Domain: domainna
Exchange Server: ex05.domainname.com

Our emails that are generated from Unix going to the "outside world" are now being rejected by most hosts. The current relay is listed as user@domainna.

Here is a snippet from the log...
Code:
1356561:Aug 21 08:04:05 domainna mail:alert sendmail[123456]: unable to qualify my own domain name (domainna)
 -- using short name

1356562:Aug 21 08:04:05 domainna mail:info sendmail[123456]: m7LB25mP123456: Authentication-Warning: domainna.domainna:
 abc set sender to alcorbett@domainname.com using -r

1356563:Aug 21 08:04:05 domainna mail:info sendmail[123456]: m7LB25mP123456: from=alcorbett@domainname.com, size=64,
 class=0, nrcpts=1, msgid=<200808211104.m7LB45mP123456@domainna>, relay=abc@localhost

1356564:Aug 21 08:04:07 domainna mail:info sendmail[654321]: m7LB25mP123456: to=outside@eastbound.com, delay=00:00:02,
 xdelay=00:00:02, mailer=esmtp, pri=120064, relay=smtpin.eastbound.com. [21.118.0.18], dsn=4.0.0, stat=Deferred: Connection
reset by smtpin.eastbound.com.

We are running scripts that send out the emails with the mail command. We still want to be able to send email internally (usr1@domainna to usr2@domainna) via Pine or script. So, I'm guessing as I am new to Unix Admin, that we need a way to relay "outside" mail to our exchange server and have local messages stay "local".

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Andrew
